“I couldn’t possibly go outside naked!” Lia put her hands on her hips and glared at Cavvik.

“This is a private island. No one will see your…virtues.” He wagged his eyebrows at her. “No one but me, that is.” The servant wouldn’t even see her naked, for he’d had a family emergency and left the island yesterday morning.

“What if someone flies over? What if your hovercraft pilot screws up his days and shows up a day early? Or what if the servant returns?” She gave a wary glance out the front door, which he was holding open. “And besides. It’s not fair that you’re not naked.”

“You are naked because you lost the privilege of wearing clothing for the rest of our vacation, little human. Need I remind you of the naughtiness you got up to yesterday evening?”

She huffed, and her cheeks grew pink as she no doubt recalled the event that had led to her current punishment, as well as the spanking he’d given her for her misbehavior before taking her clothes away.

“You put a sandworm in my heaha juice.”

“Oh, for goodness’ sake! It was a prank! You were supposed to laugh.” She looked indignant. “Besides, you deserved it after making me eat those horrid vegetables you foraged for in the forest.”

“Fegi are a fruit, not a vegetable, and they are highly nutritious and are considered a delicacy on Varishema. And I only made you eat three bites of one. You act like I made you eat a bushel.” He firmed his voice. “We are going for a walk, and you will accompany me. Naked.”

“Fine!” Her arms fell to her sides and she strode to the door. As she passed through the doorway, Cavvik swatted her bottom once. She squealed and reached back to rub her cheeks, which were still sore from the spanking he’d given her last night.

“No rubbing, little human. When I swat you, you are meant to feel the sting until it fades on its own.” He followed her onto the stone path that led down to the beach and grasped her arm, pulling her to a stop. “Stand still, Lia. You are getting two more hard swats because you rubbed.”

Before she could protest, he stepped to the side of her and delivered the extra spanks, one hard slap on each of her naughty cheeks. She howled and jumped around on the flat stones, but this time she didn’t reach around and rub her backside.

“Are you going to be a good girl today, Lia? Or do I need to take you back in the house and give you a more thorough lesson in obedience?”

She gulped and her eyes went wide. Shaking her head, she said, “I’ll be good today, sir. I don’t need any lessons in obedience.”

“All right.” He nodded at the path ahead. “We’ll walk west today. I have a special surprise for you.”

She smiled, no longer appearing upset over her nudity or her stinging bottom. She’d always liked surprises. Every time he gave her
